Description |
THIS POSITION IS PENDING. On behalf of highly respected grower/shipper/marketer based in Salinas, CA, we are seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Regulatory Compliance & FOOD SAFETY Director with a strong focus in quality assurance with significant experience in food service and specific expertise interacting with federal, state and local regulatory agencies such as FDA, FSIS, USDA, USDC. The position is to add assurance that all areas are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory rules and regulations. In addition, this position will monitor and report corporate policies in food safety. The position will audit all sites to ensure compliance of the established programs in place and to ensure compliance of SQF policies as well as contract and private brand customer programs. Requirements |
Ideal candidate will have earned a Masters in Microbiology, Food Science or relevant subject. Must have significant experience working with fresh produce from field to cooler to customer. Competencies and strengths include working independently in planning and implementation of multiple projects and assignments, as well as providing direction and leadership to effectively manage the performance and development of the food safety program. |
