Description |
On behalf of leading transportation company based in the Salinas Valley, CA, we are seeking candidates for a Staff Accountant opportunity. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting the Controller in maintaining the General Ledger accounts in the TMW system by providing detailed analyses and reconciliations on a month-to-month basis. Duties also include overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Accounting functions to assure the timeliness and accuracy of the sub-ledger data input, as well as other duties and responsibilities as assigned. This is a full-time, direct placement, eligible for benefit package. |

Requirements |
Ideal candidate will have at least five years of progressive experience in accounting preferably in the transportation industry; a
degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience in a comparable accounting environment. Will possess a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet analysis and Word documents and have the ability to handle multiple assignments efficiently and effectively in a fast paced work environment.
Must be well organized with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
Experience with TruckMate for Windows software programs preferred but not mandatory. |
