Job Description On behalf of very busy diversified grower/shipper based in Salinas Valley, CA, we are accepting resumes for consideration for the position of Ranch/Grower Ops Manager. The individual in this role will report to and work closely with the VP of Ag Operations to ensure quality and efficient crop production using Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). Responsibilities will include the overall farm management of approximately 2,000 acres of leafy greens and vegetables. This is a full-time salaried position offering excellent benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES to include but are not limited to the following:

* Conduct and oversee raw product forecasts
* Schedule harvest crews
* Effectively communicate with VP of Ag Ops on a daily basis
* Walk the fields daily (as needed) overseeing all ranch management responsibilities
* Schedule fields for harvest in a timely manner
* Collaborate with foremen, food safety professionals/auditors, PCA's, mechanics, other necessary vendors/providers
* Maintain quality standards for raw product
* Work with VP of Ag Operations to provide a steady supply of raw product
* Strengthen the raw product program through variety selection and cultural practices
* Work with management creating and maintaining budgets
* Work with accounting to maintain accurate grower and harvest records
* Research and implement innovative ideas into the program
* Work with food safety department maintaining safety standards and scheduling of raw product micro sampling
* Work with management team on future projects; including but not limited to sourcing new vegetable products

Candidate Requirements The following abilities, skills, education and experience are ideally needed to be successful in this position, however, a combination of same may be considered:

* 10 years or more of fresh produce production and harvest experience
* Knowledge of food safety and product quality
* Experience with water management, irrigation, and scheduling
* Bilingual in English and Spanish / Read, write and understand the English language
* Travel to the companyIs seasonal producing areas as needed
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
* Bachelor's Degree in Ag Business or in related field or a combination of relevant education with experience.

* Sense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Computer literacy with ability to learn new computer software programs
* Must be able to utilize technologies to streamline work processes
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Must have strong organizational skills and attention to details
* Excellent customer service skills
* Must demonstrate analytical skills as well as be able to focus attention on details when necessary
* Must have excellent organizational skills and be customer service oriented
* Ability to work independently with little supervision
* Ability to audit and correct errors
* Ability to instill trust and to resolve unexpected issues quickly
